Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) is an application system, which provides for the filing of a patent application with effect in 152 contracting states (as of September 2019) and some regional systems.

A real person with Turkish nationality or a legal entity with a place of business in Turkey can file a PCT application before the Turkish Office, the International Bureau (IB) or the European Patent Office (EPO) as the Receiving Office.
